ESS RESOURCE TEACHER-Estes Elementary School

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate or statement of eligibility
2. Experience working with elementary students
3. Ability to help coordinate tutoring programs identified students
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills
5. Flexible and able to work with diverse populations
6. Ability to engage students in their area of identified area of needs.
7. Able to demonstrate organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work directly with identified students in areas of needs and work teachers to develop  individual student plans
2. Work closely with Facilitators and Department of Instruction to ensure appropriate instructional strategies within academic classes to meet individual educational plans
3. Assist in identifying students in need of targeted services.
4. Assist in the development Student Service Plans for identified students
5. Facilitate and organize staff development for teachers
6. Communicate effectively with parents and teachers of program students
7. Evaluate programs
8. Communicate effectively and work with principals regarding the ESS Program

OTHER FACTORS:

1. Salary based OPS salary schedule or Daily rate determined by KDE
2. 1 day a week for 8 hours
3. School Year 2020-2021
